The White Camel

The White Camel is a hotel nestled in the heart of the Agafay stone desert, 45 minutes from Marrakech. It boasts about ten lodges scattered amidst the dunes in the form of high-end tents with a concrete base and a canvas cover.

The tent is designed with materials suitable for the desert’s meteorological conditions as well as Morocco’s socio-cultural context.

This can be seen, among other things, in the choice of travertine, which recalls the mineral nature of the desert surroundings. Linen and raffia have been chosen for bedding and closets due to their durability and strength. Another example is the placement of the bathtub surrounded by dense vegetation to evoke an oasis.
