Coda Housing
The homogeneity of the four-unit building reflects a desire to create an architectural object that responds to the diversity found in urban environments.
Located in a neighborhood characterized by single-family houses, the building has a modest size and is clad in a unique material, Anthrazinc zinc, accented with touches of light wood used for the railings. The roof consists of two sets of two slopes.
The entire construction is made of factory-pre-fabricated cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels, both for the walls and for the floors and roof.
The construction is enveloped in highly efficient external insulation and covered with a standing seam zinc cladding and roofing. The exterior windows are anthracite-colored thermally broken aluminum frames, equipped with highly efficient low-emissivity glazing.
